Otto’s Garage Door operates as a home-service marketing and referral company: it advertises home-service categories, receives service requests submitted through the Site, and routes those requests to independent businesses that carry out the requested work. Otto’s Garage Door does not itself perform any home-service work.
Any individual who visits the Site, submits a service request, initiates a chat, or otherwise interacts with the Site is subject to this Privacy Policy. Continued use of the Site following publication of this Policy, or submission of any request form, constitutes acceptance of the practices described herein. If a visitor does not agree to these terms, that visitor should not use the Site or submit personal information.
Information Otto’s Garage Door collects
Otto’s Garage Door collects two broad categories of information: information a visitor actively provides, and technical information generated by the visit itself.
Visitor-provided information. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Agreement to receive calls or text messages is not required in order to obtain any service, and a visitor may still pursue a service request through other available channels if they prefer not to receive automated communications.
Message frequency. The number of messages a visitor receives will vary depending on the nature of the request, the number of businesses to which it is referred, and how those businesses choose to follow up. There is no fixed message schedule.
Carrier charges. Message and data rates may apply. Charges are determined by the visitor’s mobile carrier, and Otto’s Garage Door has no control over them.
Opting out and getting help. To stop receiving text messages, reply STOP to any message. To request assistance, reply HELP. Please be aware that opting out of text messages will not automatically cancel any other forms of contact - such as telephone calls or emails - related to an open or pending service request unless the visitor separately requests that those communications cease as well. To submit an opt-out request or ask a question about messaging, the visitor may also reach Otto’s Garage Door through the contact page.
Retention of personal information
Otto’s Garage Door retains personal information only for as long as is reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy. In practice, this means information associated with a service request is kept for the period needed to coordinate the referral, confirm that the request was received by the appropriate business, and address any follow-up questions or disputes. Information may also be retained for a longer period where Otto’s Garage Door is required to do so by applicable law, regulation, or legal process, or where retention is necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
