Meet the Pflugerville Team Behind Otto’s Garage Door

We’re not a franchise with a rotating cast. The people who answer the phone, drive the truck, and hand you the invoice all live within twenty minutes of your neighborhood. Otto Reinhardt has kept it that way since 2004, because when a spring lets go at nine at night, you don’t want a stranger. You want someone who knows which streets flood in May and which HOA sends letters about door color. That’s the crew we’ve built. Small enough to know your name, experienced enough to fix anything with a panel and tracks.

Our People

Otto Reinhardt, Owner

Otto started this company in 2004 with one truck, a used trailer, and a stubborn belief that a quoted price should be the price. He still answers the phone himself more nights than not, and he still works jobs when the schedule gets tight. Twenty-nine years in this county means he’s seen every door style go in and out of fashion twice. He counts spring cycles the way other people count tire miles, and he’ll tell you what’s left on yours before he touches a wrench. If he tells you a door is done, it’s done. If he tells you it has a year left, he means that too. People ask why he hasn’t expanded into a fleet. The answer is always the same: he’d rather fix your door than manage a spreadsheet.

Marcus D., Lead Technician

Marcus has been turning wrenches with Otto for fourteen years, which makes him the second-longest serving person in the company. He was a framer before that, so he understands how a house actually sits and settles, which matters when a door starts binding against its own tracks. Marcus handles most of the spring and cable replacements in Pflugerville, and he’s done enough high-tension work at this point that he can diagnose a failing spring by sound alone. He’s certified on LiftMaster and Chamberlain opener systems. Outside of work, he runs an unreasonable amount of barbecue and hosts a fishing trip every spring his two sons argue about for weeks beforehand.

Elena R., Senior Installer

Elena joined the crew nine years ago after working in commercial door install in Austin, and she brought a precision habit with her. She’s the person you want on a full door replacement, especially in the older sections of Pflugerville where door openings haven’t been square since 1987. Elena does most of the custom Clopay and Amarr installs, and she’s the one who will catch the headroom issue before the door ever goes up, not after. She’s also the unofficial crew interpreter for the twelve languages of homeowner hand gestures. Her detail about every job is known around the shop: she labels every remote and resets every keypad before she leaves, even when nobody asked.

Sam T., Service Coordinator and Apprentice

Sam is the newest face, now four years in and increasingly dangerous with a torque wrench. He started on the phones while learning the trade from Otto and Marcus on afternoon jobs, which means he can explain a torsion spring issue over the phone and then show up and fix it. Sam manages the parts bench and keeps the truck stocked with rollers, hinges, and sensors for the common brands: Genie, Chamberlain, Wayne Dalton, Raynor, the usual suspects. He’s the one who remembers the gate code from last time and the name of your dog. That’s not a line. It’s a documented habit.

One Standard, Every Job

Every person on this crew works under the same rule Otto wrote down years ago and hasn’t changed since: quote it before you start, do it right the first time, and if it’s not right, make it right. The 90-Day Done Right Promise goes in writing on every invoice, and the phone number on that invoice reaches a person, not a queue. We train across major brands so nobody walks away stumped on a Raynor or a Craftsman. We show up in uniform, we lay down mats, we clean up packaging, and we don’t leave until you’ve watched the door run a full cycle and you’re satisfied it’s smooth. The van says Otto’s. The person driving it answers to him. If something isn’t right ninety days later, you call and one of us comes back. No runaround, no third party, no “sorry, that was a different crew.” That’s not marketing. That’s just the way the shop has run since 2004.
