Garage Door Before & After in Pflugerville, TX

Photos beat promises. We can tell you we’ve been replacing and repairing garage doors in Pflugerville since 2004, but a picture of a sagging, rusted door next to a clean Clopay installation says it faster. Here’s a look at real transformations from around the county, from Falcon Pointe to the older ranch houses near Heritage Park. The door in the after photo is the same kind of door we’d put on your house, and the trim lines up the way Otto insists it should.

Recent Transformations

Spring Failure on a Wayne Dalton in Windermere

Before and after: Wayne Dalton garage door with both torsion springs replaced in Windermere, Pflugerville TX
Wayne Dalton torsion spring replacement, Windermere. Left: both springs snapped, door stuck with the car inside. Right: new springs installed and door rebalanced, same afternoon.

A homeowner called at twenty past six, car trapped, one spring snapped and the other about to go. When one spring fails, the second is never far behind because springs count cycles as a pair. We replaced both with rated springs, rebalanced the door, and had his car back in the driveway before dinner. The fix is quiet, and the door lifts with two fingers from the bottom edge. That’s the test we show every customer before we leave.

Full Door Replacement on a 1998 Builder-Grade Unit in Sorento

Before and after: builder-grade steel garage door replaced with a new insulated Clopay door in Sorento, Pflugerville TX
Clopay door replacement, Sorento. Left: dented, uninsulated steel door with failing rollers and broken weather seal. Right: new Clopay coachman with insulation, nylon rollers, and matched trim.

The old door had dents from years of kids’ bikes, a bottom weather seal that let in every June afternoon storm, and rollers so worn the door sounded like a train. Otto measured the opening, ordered a Clopay door that fits the 1998 framing without any carpentry work, and installed it with new track, new rollers, new seals. The difference isn’t just looks. An insulated door changes the temperature in a garage by ten degrees in August, which matters if your water heater or a second refrigerator lives out there.

Opener Jerk and Slam in Blackhawk

Before and after: jerky garage door opener repaired in Blackhawk, Pflugerville TX
Opener repair and door rebalance, Blackhawk. Left: opener straining against an unbalanced door, jerking and slamming. Right: door rebalanced and opener running smooth.

The customer thought her opener was dead. It wasn’t. The door had lost its balance, so the LiftMaster was pulling against 200 pounds of steel instead of running free. If the opener is straining, the problem is almost never the opener. We rebalanced the door, adjusted the travel limits, and the opener quieted right down. That’s a $150 job instead of a $600 opener replacement. Otto will tell you which one you need, even when the cheaper answer is the right one.

Rotted Bottom Panel on a Clopay in Highland Park

Before and after: rotted garage door bottom panel replaced in Highland Park, Pflugerville TX
Bottom panel replacement, Highland Park. Left: water damage and rot across the bottom section. Right: new panel, matched paint, straight sight line.

Water had been sitting against the bottom panel for years, and the rot was structural, not cosmetic. On most doors the bottom panel catches it first while the rest of the door is fine. We ordered the panel to match, pulled the old section off, and set the new one in with new brackets and hardware. The door is square again, and the homeowner saved the cost of replacing the entire door. Some companies would have pushed a whole new unit. That’s not how Otto works. He’s on the street next month at somebody’s crawfish boil, and his name is on the van.

Emergency Cable Snap in Gatlinburg

Before and after: snapped garage door cable repaired in Gatlinburg, Pflugerville TX
Cable replacement and track realignment, Gatlinburg. Left: snapped cable, door hanging at an angle in the track. Right: new cables, realigned track, door opening level again.

A cable snapped on a Sunday afternoon, and the door was in the opening at an angle, pinched in the track. A door in that condition is dangerous to force. Cables on residential doors carry serious tension. We had someone to the house within the hour, new cables installed on both sides, and the track realigned before the homeowner had to leave for work on Monday. The 24/7 calls are answered by a live person, and at nine at night that person is usually Otto.

Garage Door Tune-Up and Realignment in Falcon Pointe

Before and after: garage door tune-up and track realignment in Falcon Pointe, Pflugerville TX
Full tune-up, Falcon Pointe. Left: dry rollers, loose track bolts, door drifting right. Right: lubricated and re-tightened, door tracking true.

A little drift, a little rattle, a noise it didn’t make last spring. The tune-up isn’t dramatic in photos, but the difference in how the door runs is real. We lube the rollers, tighten every bolt on the track, check the spring cycle count, and tell you what’s left. Otto counts spring cycles the way you count tire miles, and this house had about two years left on theirs. They’ll know when to replace the springs before they snap, not after.
